What, what? Angkor Wat!

Since 2 1/2 days we've been climbing the temples of Angkor, built around 700 -1700 a.c.

The area itself is massive, nearly as big as NY City.

Despite being in the middle of the woods, so many people are traveling here to visit - including us - we've been thinking about coming here for the past years.

Even though there's so many tourists, we still managed to get the feeling of ancient times - due to the size of the site and our clever timing :-)

As for many Asian tourist sites you also find many kids trying to sell things - for a change - these are pretty clever kids, adapting to the tourists from different countries by learning more of their language than just a mere 'hello'. We met a cute girl who wouldn't believe us we were not Japanese. "I don't believe you. If you were from Japan you would speak Japanese". When Sabine started off with "Kon-i-chiwa" she managed quite a few sentences in reponse. Pretty impressive!
