On the road again in Indochina...

We've made it...as always something didn't quite go according to plan...once again it was our flight...we made it to the airport (Julia very early, Sabine, not quite so early), only to find that we had a booking and seat & special meal confirmation, but no actual booking. So this is why nobody wanted our money prior to the flight. We had hoped, that they may have just forgotten this small detail.

But hey, we still made it :-)

Our stay in Bangkok Airport was pretty short, the Bangkok Airways 'Edelweiss' machine reminded us of home, as did the captain's announcement in Thai, English, French AND German, pretty good for a local airline! Please fly BANGKOK AIRWAYS - simply amazing.

Our first impressions of Cambodia were very similar as in the movie 'Ana and the king' - tropical rain forest, friendly people and .... well defined processes (German people like this). Getting a visa was quick: queue once, hand in your docs and pay, queue again and wait until the officer calls your first name and ... here is your visa. Everything in between is done by around 10 officals, each one responsible for a small step. Greetings to our good friend Henry Ford and his assembly line! Getting a visa was never as quick, transparent, easy and fun to watch.
